Swimming is one of the most complete and balanced forms of exercise there is and is believed to be one of the best ways to maintain overall fitness. It increases breathing capacity and builds, lengthens and stretches muscles. The swimming pool is 20'x50' with the water temperature kept between 84°-86°.

Use of resistance and buoyancy equipment stored poolside is available for member use, as well as pull buoys and kickboards to aid in swim development. Amentities include poolside tables and chairs, skylights, a shower on the deck of the pool, as well as towels and plastic bags for wet suits. Each locker room is stocked with soap, shampoo, hair spray, shaving cream, deodorant and hand lotion.

WATER WORKOUTS

Water workouts improve flexibility and range of motion by the use of buoyancy, resistance and the ability of the water to support the limbs. Our water exercise class offers a low-impact aerobic workout that is beneficial for every fitness level and age. The body enjoys buoyancy while working each muscle group against at least 10 times more resistance than on land. The water program offers a variety of aerobic style classes incorporating fitness, flexibility, range of motion, muscular strength and endurance as well as emphasis on improving cardiovascular function. Water aerobic classes are offered every morning (excluding Sunday) and several evenings each week. Speciality Classes and Water Workshops are also held throughout the year.

SWIM LESSONS

Children and adults learn to swim with individual and group classes from a certified instructor. Lessons include pool safety, as well as training to handle emergencies. Lessons are available for Beginners through Advanced Stroke Development.

FAMILY SWIM

Family Swim is a great time for members to share fitness with their family. It is our pleasure to offer this FREE program to all our adult members and their children or grandchildren ages 3 or older.
Season Hours: Saturday & Sunday 4:00-6:00pm
Summer Hours: Friday, 5:00-7:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 12:00-2:00pm
